Lost Soul-Tutorial

I am using the artwork of Suzanne Woolcott which you need a license to use and can be purchased from www.gorjussart.com

I am using the scrap kit "Kara" from Tishia which can be purchased from www.designsbytishia.blogspot.com

New Canvas 800x600
Flood fill white (optional)
Choose a paper from the kit, I chose paper #9. Resize to 800x600 Pixels and copy and paste as a new layer onto your tag.
Open the mask that I supplied, on the tag go to layers, new mask layer, from image.
Delete the mask layer and merge group.
Now using your preset shape tool, rectangle, forecolor set to black & Background null, line width set to 5 and anti alias checked, draw out a square, you can refer to my tag for assitance with placement and size. Now convert to raster layer and duplicate twice.
Now arrange them like I have them on my tag, merge them together and add a dropshadow of choice.
Open up your tubes/backgrounds of choice and copy and paste them to the tag below the frame layer.
Click inside the frame layer with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 5, selections, invert and on the tube/background layer hit delete.
Now repeat this for all three tube/background layers.
Now change your outter tube layers to B & W using effects, photo effects, B&W.
now change the middle tube to b&w.
Then I used the black stitching from the kit, I opened it up, resized it by 20% and used my selection tool and selected a little piece of it.
I copied and pasted it over to my tag and placed on the frame, use my tag as reference for placement.
Then using cross #4 from the kit, I resized it by 20% and placed over the face of the left tube, I right clicked on the raster layer and went to properties, I changed the Opacity to 20 and hit ok, then I duplicated and mirrored onto the right tube..
Refer to my tag if you need help with placement.
Now using paper # 11, resize same as the other papers and copy and paste onto your tag, right above the mask layer.Using another mask of choice, apply the same steps as the first mask.
Now using the Lost Soul word are in the kit, copy and paste over onto your tag, place above all of the other layers and change the opacity to 50.
Now, using your preset shape tool, draw out a circle, foreground black, background null, make it the size ofthe circle on your lost soul word art.
Now add a new layer and using your text tool, write out the words “If I’m such and important person, why do you stutter when i ask you if you know my name?”
Then adjust them to fit around the circle and convert to raster layer..add a gradient (optional) and a drop shadow of choice.
Delete your circle that you drew to write on.
Now add your name and your copyright information and you are finished :)

Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincedental.

Lets Begin:

New Canvas 600x600

Choose a paper from your kit, I chose paper #5. Resize by 600x600 copy and paste as a new layer on your tag.
Choose a mask, if you already have one:
Layers, load mask from disk, choose your mask and make sure luminance is checked and invert is unchecked.

After you have your mask added, delete the mask layer and merge group.

Now for the frame:
Chose another paper from your kit, I chose paper #2 resize it by 20%.
Go to your foreground color, click on it and change it to pattern, look for your paper in the patterns and select it.
Close that paper and move back to your tag.

Now, with your preset shape tool, select the rectangle, foreground color is the patterned paper you chose, background is null. Line width is 25.

Draw out a rectangle, refer to my tag for help with size.

Now, Objects, align & center in canvas, convert to raster layer. Add a drop shadow of choice.

Add your tube. Place your tube on the left side of the frame, refer to my tag if you need assistance.

Add a drop shadow of choice to your tube and duplicate, move the duplicated layer below the frame layer.

Make your frame layer active and using your magic wand click inside.Selections, modify, expand by 7, selections invert, now making your copy tube layer active, hit delete, selections, select none.
Using your eraser tool, make your original top tube layer active and erase the parts you do not want hanging over the frame.

Now choose another paper from your kit, I chose paper #1.Resize this 400x400 pixels and copy and paste as a new layer, place below your frame layer.

Again, making your frame layer active, click inside of it with your magic wand.

Selections, modify & expand by 7, selections, invert and on your paper layer, hit delete.

I added a few elements from the kit, refer to my tag for placement.

Now add your word, I used the words "Happy Halloween" using a color from my tube with the color as black and then added a purple gradient using eyecandy 4000 (optional).

Now add your name using the same color or one of your choice and place it according to where you want it.

Add your copy right info and you're done :)

Save as a PNG. Format file or a JPEG if you used a white background.

Am too a fairy princess-New Tutorial

This is my first tutorial-I hope everyone can undertsand it easily ;)

Needed:Eyecandy 4000/Gradient Glow (optional)Tube of choice, I used the wonderful art work of Suzanne Woolcott which must be used with a license which can be purchased: http://www.gorjussart.com

Scrap kit of choice, I used the fabulous work of Tishia Mackey @ Designs by Tishia, Scrap Kit called "Plum Princess" which can be purchased:

Mask of choice-Flower mask preferable.

Font of choice, I used Aquarelle.

This is for those who have basic knowledge of paint shop pro x and other versions.

Ready to begin:

New canvas 600x600
Flood fill white (optional)
Choose a paper from the kit, I used paper #9. Resize the paper 600x600 Pixels and copy and paste as a new layer on your canvas.
Layers, new mask layer, from image and use mask WSL_mask239 or which ever mask you have chosen to use. Make sure that source luminance is checked and invert is unchecked.
Delete the mask layer and merge group.

Choose a new paper from the kit, I chose paper #4, resize and place below the mask layer.
Using your magic wand, select inside of the circle of the flower mask layer. Now, Selections, modify, expand by 15. selections, invert and making the paper layer active, hit delete. Now you should only have the paper layer in the circle part of the flower.
Now add your tube of choice and place it in the center of the flower according to where you like it.
You can move it around until you think you are happy, you can even place it below the flower layer to make it look like it is coming out of the flower.
::To do that you will need to duplicate your tube and move the copy below the flower layer and then on your original tube layer, erase all of the parts you do not want hanging out..you can also do this with your magic wand using the same settings as above::
Add a drop shadow of choice to your tube, I used -2,-2,60,4.
Using your preset shapes, ellipse, forecolor any bright color, background null, width 5, draw out a circle the size of your tag.
Now with your text tool, write out any little phrase or saying your would like too, I used "Am too a fairy princess".
Add your embelishments of choice from the kit, refer to mine above if needed.
I added the butterfly, resized and placed it onto the name.
I added a slight white gradient from eyecandy 400 and 2 drop shadows using the same settings as above to the butterfly.
I added a few more ellements and drop shadows to my likings.
At this point you can hide the bottom layer and merge visible.
Resize all layers by 75%
Now add your name and your copy right information and your done :)
